Margaret Wright, USA- violinist, teacher
String teacher of the year by American String Teachers Association

“I have recently had a chance to examine and play a beautiful violin made by Eddie Matus. It has a wonderful big rich tone, great responsiveness, and clarity and beauty of sound on all strings in all positions. It is beautiful also in appearance and exciting to play. I also liked the bow that was shown to me, by the same maker, and I would recommend both violin and bow very highly.
I am a violin and viola teacher who has had many students annually for 45 years, and among these are many who were accepted at major conservatories and university schools of music. Besides maintaining a private studio all those years, I have been a faculty member of the Levine School of Music in Washington, DC, since 1979 and ran the string department there for 10 years and the chamber music program after that for 4 years. I also taught at summer programs Including Sewanee Summer Music Festival (in Tennessee) and the Gettysburg Chamber Music Workshop in Pennsylvania.

Judith Silverman, USA- Violin, viola, chamber music teacher.
Over 30 years experience as teacher and performer.

"I very much enjoyed playing a violin made by Eddie Matus. It had a big, full rich sound and was very responsive. I would recommend these instruments as worthy of serious consideration by my advanced students."

Frederic Berthod, Switzerland- Violin Maker

“I can say about my Matus bow that it has a good balance between curve and weight.
It doesn’t jump on the string, therefore being very stable, which gives me a velveted sound. For that reason I really appreciate it. The bow is made with fine and clean workmanship.”

Marcelo Saldías Lüscher, Chile. Violinist, teacher .

¨The Matus bow I bought in October 2005 is of an exquisite balance with the adecquate weight and balance to perform the great concerts. The details are done with a really fine work.¨
